Description

October 2010
A2 cotton canvas,
transferred photograph, and Atelier "Interactive" acrylic paint.

Notes: First finished painting of the new semester. I've added colour, oh my! ...yes, the red really is that bright.

No print version at the moment; the quality of the photograph is a bit poorer than I'd like. I'll update this when I can get a better image.

Edit: A DD? Thank you muchly ~Gas-maskTeddy, ^Mollinda, and everyone who has commented and favourited. I'll try and thank everyone individually, but I've been buckled down with university of late and don't really know when I'll be able to.

Blanket statement regarding the curious red line:
There are political undertones in this composition, admittedly disjointed undertones, but they're there all the same. I don't consider this a political piece, though, which is why it's in Conceptual. This began as an experimentation in colour and texture and ended up as some mutated statement on industry and bureaucracy.

Anyway, I'll just say "red tape" and leave off with that. I am under no illusion that this is ground-breaking stuff, and I know I'm not an authority on the subject.

I hope this helps answer some questions, but I get the feeling it's only created more. Oh well. :B
